With the receipt of a multi-year grant from First 5 Sacramento and additional partnerships, the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District (GJUESD) has expanded its Pre-Kindergarten Program.
The program includes a variety of School Readiness services to all families who have children ages 0-5 in the Galt community, regardless of income. All School Readiness services are free, with the exception of Preschool.
GOALS
The goal of our comprehensive School Readiness Program is to prepare children to enter Kindergarten “Ready to Learn” in the 4 major areas:
- Social-emotional development and physical well-being
- Language and literacy development
- Approaches to learning
- Cognitive development and general knowledge
